KvK (K83) - The WAR story
Over the last 3 days, I have received mixed reviews in respect of this newly formed blog.
Some have called my last article lies, a betray of trust and a wild stretch of the imagination.
While others have applauded the willingness to speak freely and to explore the endless possibilities.
In one of my articles, I made it clear that I am Bias ASF, I am a PUP after all.I have always been outspoken, and I think one of the reasons I stayed long enough in PUP to form friendships, pledge my loyalty and friendship to those guys, is because they give me enough rope to hand myself.
That been said, there are plenty of those that I have the world of respect in the K115 universe, outside that of PUP. I have to admit, I have the bad habit of cutting those off, that try and restrict my freedom to voice my opinion. You all know who you are :) lol
One of the gladiators I really respect is Marcus Aurelius.
The reality is Marcus is the servers kingpin, he is what makes our server a force to be reckoned with in KvK. I have had the pleasure of speaking to him on numerous occasions, and what I gathered is, he is loyal to the core. His friends are what keep him motivated to continue pushing the limits, and most of them have opted to fight with him in the WAR alliance. It is only obvious, that the strongest player on any server demands the largest following. But with large followings, so does the pressure to perform, and protect. One chooses to be a villain, or chooses to be the knight in shining armor.
I had never doubted that Marcus was the knight, but i have always been on the other side. I have always thought that , it was about not been complacent, been the best means that you either need to create new goals to stay relevant, or you have to fight the boredom. For me, been surrounded by Bat Shit Crazy [BSC] people is the best part of my day. its the only way to crack a rib laughing.
I will get into Kane, in another article, but he is the reason I joined PUP, and the reason I stayed. He invited me back, when "E" was offered the Throne.... So, I committed to him - He too was the underdog, always making peaceful comments in KC, and been ridiculed by the opposition.
So when Marcus Zeroed Kane, while "Kane" and "Fist of Ice" were facing off against each other. I must admit i was furious and couldn't understand how or why Marcus would do such a thing.... when all indications suggested that if anything, Marcus had a respect for Kane, but a toleration of "Fist of Ice" at best. So much has happened since then, and events have since been cleared u, but that is not the focus of this article.
Bottom line, when Marcus approached me about the last KvK article, and to give his account of events, I could only but respect what he had to say.
From what he told me, I can gather that Marcus analyses his opponent with alot more scrutiny that most of us.
What he saw was an opponent with Level 3 Demon Gear prior to the event, that went through a rapid transition into a player with Level 5 Demon Gear and a full set of justice stones. He was a player that became a major threat to all of us overnight.
Realizing that GIOGIO was going to be a tough challenge, Marcus made the call to concentrate on K83, rather than going after K80. I personally believe, that tactically, ensuring that GIOGIO's server was reset to 30 minutes to and Hour after the K83 server, would have ensured that GIOGIO wouldn't have risked major troop lose to himself in order to secure his own server. However, what I am written and suggestion is pure speculation. The fact is, Marcus cared about the damage others may take, over that of the damage he himself took.
Marcus then referred me back to when the throne was under attack, particularly when the combined force of both Sparta and himself had the throne secured. This is the incident that had alot of people questioning the decision making, and the possibility of an alternative agenda.
What he told me, was not of someone that was fully in tactical mode, but that of a person that wanted to protect his friends. Three of his close gaming friends were hit by GIOGIO, and he wanted revenge.... No... more .... he wanted justice....
What makes Marcus a serious force in this game, is his Airship - Just look at the spirit mines, and you will see that he is right up there with the best in the game. This entire time, while the airship was securing the throne with Sparta, he had been attacking GIOGIO without his greatest weapon. Those who were there, knew that GIOGIO was losing power fast, their were people tracking his power ... 20 Million loss, 40 Million, 60 million..... It was getting to the stage, that his army was almost depleted...
Marcus saw his chance, GIOGIO had been static for a few minutes.... He pulled his force with the emergency 3 second recalled, and sped Marched 3 full troop loads at GIOGIO, hoping that he had not seen that Marcus was no longer in the Throne. The attacks were brutal on both players, but with his last breath, GIOGIO threw the Hail Mary and marched on the Throne while only Sparta and Green Machine secured.
Unfortunately, Marcus's plan was to get back to the castle, but was driving to work at the time. The lagged he experience was something we all have, and it was just a matter of timing as GIOGIO beat Marcus to the Throne.
Personally, I know that people were disappointed when the throne fell from our grasps. Truth be told, without Marcus, we would never have got so close. I don't believe it was the right call to pull his troops, but I now understand why. Let this be a reminder to all, and a learning curve.
There are many more battles to fight, and no one man can do it on their own. it is important that we as a Kingdom have 10 Marcus's to fight the battles ahead. Lets shout, argue, have fun ... but at the end of the day, we should not be killing our own. The only troops we should lose is to that of another Kingdom when defending our own.
I also had a chat to Panda, who is someone that i respect and admire. Whilst I do not apologies for creating a conspiracy theory, I do think it was just that - A wild idea.
I always say that anything can happen if the facts were not presented the first time around.
There are things I don't like, but that's because i am a controversial person.
